It’s Gonna Work This Time, You Just Can’t Be Lazy - October 2, 2025

Scripture:

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” - Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Devotional:

We often pray for blessings, opportunities, and open doors, but God also calls us to work the ground. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Dreams remain dreams if they’re not paired with action.

The reason it’s going to work this time isn’t because the situation suddenly changed, it’s because your posture has. God has matured you, strengthened you, and positioned you to not just start but finish. But there’s one key: you can’t be lazy.

Laziness doesn’t always look like doing nothing. Sometimes it looks like procrastination, distraction, or giving half-effort. These small leaks drain the potential of what God wants to do. But when you combine faith with focus, prayer with persistence, and hope with hard work, you put yourself in position for God’s promises to manifest.

This time, it will work, not because of chance, but because you’re choosing consistency, obedience, and diligence in partnership with God’s favor.

Reflection/Challenge:

What area of your life requires more consistency? Write it down and commit to one action step today that shows God you’re ready to steward the blessing.

Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.

Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.

Lord, thank You for giving me another chance to pursue what You’ve placed in my heart. Help me to walk in diligence, not laziness. Give me focus when I’m distracted, strength when I’m weary, and persistence when I want to quit. Let this time be the time that Your promises come to pass, because I’m willing to partner with You in faith and action. In Jesus Name I Pray, Thank God, Amen.
