Brand New - September 26, 2025

Scripture:

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” - 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Devotional:

Every sunrise is a reminder that God is still making things new. His mercies are fresh every morning (Lamentations 3:23), and with each new day comes the opportunity to walk in His renewing power.

Being brand new in Christ doesn’t mean the past never happened. It means the past no longer holds power over you. The old labels, the shame, the regrets, all of it has been covered by the blood of Jesus. You don’t have to live tied to what you once were, because God has written a new identity over your life.

To be brand new is to walk in freedom. It is to embrace the fact that God has restored what was broken and is writing a greater story. It is to believe that no matter how yesterday looked, today is an opportunity to start again, in strength, in hope, and in victory.

Reflection/Challenge:

What “old thing” do you need to release today in order to fully embrace the new? Write it down, surrender it to God, and then declare: “I am brand new in Christ.”

Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.

Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.

Lord, thank You for making me brand new. Thank You that the old has passed away and that Your mercies are new every morning. Help me to walk in freedom from my past and in the fullness of the new life You’ve given me. I receive Your restoration, and I embrace the new thing You are doing in me today. In Jesus Name I Pray, Thank God, Amen.
