Put Him First In Everything - June 6, 2025

Scripture:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
— Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

Devotional:
There’s no doubt that God wants to bless you. His plans are good, and His promises are true. But the key to unlocking those blessings is putting Him first — every single day. This isn’t a one-time decision or a convenience-based lifestyle. It’s an everyday choice.

It means putting Him first when your plans crumble and when the outcome doesn’t align with your expectations. It means choosing Him when it hurts, when it’s uncomfortable, and when His will contradicts your own desires. It’s trusting Him in the uncertainty and worshiping Him in the waiting.

When you make God your priority, you’ll discover that He’s already been working behind the scenes — orchestrating every detail for your good. Even when the answer is different than what you prayed for, He’s faithful to bring you to a better outcome than you ever imagined. Because He’s that kind of God.

Today, make the choice to put God first in everything — in your decisions, your dreams, your relationships, and your day-to-day moments. Let it be a lifestyle, not just a reaction to crisis or a routine for Sundays.

Trust Him, because He’s always been working it all together for your good.

Reflection/Challenge:
Today, write down three areas of your life where you’ve struggled to let God be first. Surrender them to Him in prayer. Then make the daily commitment to trust Him in those areas, even when it’s hard. And Then Reflect on the times in your life when God was there, even if you didn’t recognize Him in the moment. Write them down as a testimony of His faithfulness.

Prayer:
Father God In the Name of Jesus,
Today, I choose to put You first in everything. Not just in the good times, but in the challenges, the pain, and the moments of uncertainty. Help me to trust You even when things don’t look like I expected, Thanking You for ALL THINGS AND IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. Remind me that You are working all things together for my good. Thank You for loving me, for guiding me, and for exceeding every expectation I’ve ever had. Let my life reflect that You are first, always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
