Holding On in the Hard Place — November 12, 2025

Scripture:

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” - Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Devotional:

There comes a point in your journey where faith stops feeling pretty. You’ve prayed, fasted, declared, and praised and still, life seems to hit harder. You believe God’s Word, you trust His plan, but the in-between feels heavy.

That’s where real faith is forged. Not in the overflow, but in the almost. Not in the finished testimony, but in the fight to believe that one still exists.

It’s easy to trust God when the blessings are visible, but it takes spiritual maturity to trust Him when all you have is a payment arrangement and a promise. Yet even there, God is present. His Grace doesn’t disappear in your difficulty, it deepens there.

God never asked us to pretend everything is fine. He asked us to keep believing anyway. Your tears don’t disqualify your faith, they water the ground you’ve been sowing on. Your battle doesn’t mean you’re behind; it means breakthrough is pressing through resistance.

Maybe this isn’t punishment, but maybe it’s positioning. The Lord hasn’t forgotten you. Every moment of lack, delay, or confusion is building endurance for the harvest He’s preparing.

Keep praising. Keep pushing. Keep holding on in the hard place because one day soon, you’ll look back and realize the struggle was the soil of your next season.

Challenge/Reflection:

This week, instead of asking “When, God?” ask “What are You building in me while I wait?”

Your delay doesn’t mean denial, it means development. Write down one area where you still believe God will show Himself strong, even if you don’t see it yet.

Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.

Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.

Lord, I’m tired but I’m still trusting. I’ve seen You make a way before, and I believe You’ll do it again. Strengthen my heart where it’s weary. Remind me that my waiting is not wasted. Help me to stay faithful in the fight, knowing that You are still writing my story. Thank You for sustaining me when I can barely hold on. In Jesus Name I Pray, Thank God, Amen.

Declaration:

“I may be weary, but I will not faint. God is still moving, still providing, and still working all things together for my good.”
