Scripture:

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me”…. - Psalms‬ ‭138‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Devotional:

This morning, we overslept. My daughter and I were running late, while my mom was already up and ready to go. It felt like one of those mornings that would throw everything off, but somehow, we still made it on time.

And in that simple moment, God reminded me of something powerful: You may have overslept, but Heaven didn’t. God whispered to my heart, “I never sleep nor slumber. I’ve been up, ready, and working things out long before you opened your eyes.

While I was scrambling to get things together, God was already prepared. And that’s the beauty of His timing, even when we’re running behind, He’s still ahead, making sure everything aligns so we arrive right on time.

There are days when life feels like a series of delays, when your prayers seem unanswered, your pace feels off, and your timeline doesn’t match what you expected. But God’s timing is not our timing. He doesn’t need you to be early to still bring you into purpose. He just needs you to trust that His timing is perfect.

When God is in control, even what feels like a setback becomes setup. He makes up time in ways only He can by aligning people, opportunities, and outcomes so that you arrive exactly when you’re meant to.

So if you’ve been worrying that you’re behind, take heart. You’re still right on schedule for what God has ordained. His grace has already gone before you.

Challenge/Reflection:

Think about a moment when you felt “late” in life, then realized God had you right where He wanted you. How can you rest in that trust today?

Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.

Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.

Father God, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is perfect. Even when I feel behind, You are always ahead, working things out for my good. Help me to rest in Your rhythm and not rush Your process. I trust that every delay, every detour, and every “wait” is leading me exactly where I need to be, right on time. In Jesus Name I Pray, Thank God, Amen.

Declaration:

“I’m not late. I’m right on time for what God has planned for me. His grace covers my pace.”
