God Isn’t Shut Down- October 27, 2025
Scripture:
“The Lord reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord.” - Psalms 146:10 NIV
Devotional:
Today, as headlines talk about shutdowns and uncertainty, God reminded me: He’s still on the throne. The government might be limited, but God’s authority is not. When systems fail, He remains steady. When budgets tighten, His provision overflows.
The cost of living may go up, but the price of salvation hasn’t changed, it’s still free. Grace still covers. Mercy still reaches. Miracles still happen.
Even when people are weary and barely hanging on, God is still moving. He’s sustaining, restoring, and providing in ways that human systems can’t. So don’t lose heart. Heaven’s economy never crashes.
Challenge/Reflection:
Where have you been relying on the world’s systems instead of God’s faithfulness? Shift your trust today.
Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.
Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.
Father, thank You for being constant in a world full of change. Even when governments shut down and resources fade, You never stop working. Help me to remember that Your supply never runs dry. You are my source, my security, and my sustainer. In Jesus Name I Pray, Thank God, Amen.
Declaration:
“The government may shut down, but God’s Kingdom is still open. His blessings never stop flowing.”
