Grace Covers It All- April 13, 2025

Scripture:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
—Romans 3:23-24 NIV

Devotional:
It’s easy to feel discouraged when we fall short again, again and again. We try to live right, walk upright, and honor God, but our humanity reminds us just how fragile we are. Romans 3:23 reminds us that “all have sinned.” Not some, not just the worst, not just the ones with public mistakes, but ALL. That includes you, me, and every single person walking this earth.

But here’s the good news: God doesn’t leave us in our shortcomings. The very next verse reminds us that we are “justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” This means that although we’ve sinned, we’ve also been rescued, redeemed, and restored through Jesus. His grace didn’t wait for us to be perfect, but it met us in our mess.

This isn’t an excuse to stay in sin. It’s an invitation to rise out of it. Grace doesn’t cover us so we can continue in darkness, but so we can walk in light. You don’t have to live in shame. You don’t have to be perfect to be forgiven. And you’re not disqualified from God’s love because of what you've done.

You are loved. You are covered. You are forgiven. Not because you earned it, but because Jesus paid for it.

Reflection/Challenge:
Take a moment today to reflect on your journey. Where has God’s grace met you in your life? Write down at least three moments where you know He covered you when you didn’t deserve it and thank Him for it.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for your grace that meets me in my mess. Thank You for the gift of Jesus, who paid the price for my redemption. Help me to walk boldly in the freedom You’ve given me—not in guilt, but in gratitude. I confess my sins and receive Your forgiveness today. I may fall short, but Your grace picks me up every time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
