Don’t Miss The Move- April 16, 2025

Scripture:
Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.”
—Matthew 21:43 NIV

Devotional:
This verse is both a warning and a call to action. In Matthew 21:43, Jesus is addressing religious leaders who had the appearance of godliness but denied its power. They had been entrusted with the things of God but failed to bear the fruit He desired obedience, justice, mercy, and faithfulness. So, Jesus makes it clear: the Kingdom is not about position, heritage, or appearance. It’s about fruitfulness.

God is not interested in empty rituals or religious show. He’s looking for hearts that respond to Him, lives that produce love, faith, humility, and obedience. When we reject His ways, ignore His voice, or harden our hearts, we risk missing the very thing we were created to carry: His Kingdom.

But this verse also reminds us that God is always advancing His purpose. If one group won’t produce fruit, He’ll raise up another. That means you and I have an opportunity, right now, to say, “Yes, Lord. I will be the one. I will bear fruit worthy of Your Kingdom.”

The question isn’t whether you attend church or know the Scriptures—it’s whether your life reflects the power, presence, and purpose of the King. Are you producing fruit? Are you walking in Kingdom authority, or just carrying Kingdom language?

Don’t just be near the Kingdom. Be a vessel of it. Live like it. Produce like it. And let the world taste and see that the Lord is good, through your life.

Reflection/Challenge:
Ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart today. Are there areas where you’ve gotten comfortable, complacent, or spiritually fruitless? Surrender them to God. Write down one intentional step you can take to walk in Kingdom purpose today whether it’s forgiving someone, sharing your faith, or serving with humility.

Prayer:
Father, I don’t want to simply talk about the Kingdom—I want to live it. I want my life to bear fruit that honors You. Forgive me for the times I’ve chosen comfort over obedience or pride over humility. Produce in me the fruit of Your Spirit, and let my life reflect the values of Heaven. I say “yes” to Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
