Trusting God Through The Unknown- April 12, 2025

Scripture:
”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
—Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Devotional:
There’s something deeply uncomfortable about not knowing what’s next. When the road ahead feels foggy, when answers aren’t coming fast enough, when you can’t seem to figure out your next move, but that’s where trust is tested most.

But that’s also where God does His greatest work.

Trusting God through the unknown isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about choosing to believe that even when you can’t see what He’s doing, He’s still working. It’s waking up every morning and saying, “God, I don’t know how this is going to work out but I trust that You do.”

Sometimes the unknown feels like a wilderness, but it’s really a proving ground, a place where your faith deepens, your character strengthens, and your dependence on God becomes unshakable. And while we may long for clarity, God calls us to obedience, to take the next step even when we can’t see the whole staircase.

You may not have all the pieces yet, but God does. And He’s piecing together a plan far greater than anything you could imagine.

Reflection/Challenge:
Take 10 minutes today to pause in silence with God. Write down every weight you’re carrying. Then, one by one, release each burden to Him in prayer. Say aloud, “Jesus, I give this to You.” Let His peace meet you where you are.

Prayer:
Lord, I’m tired. I’ve been carrying things I was never meant to carry. Thank You for inviting me to come to You, not in strength, but in surrender. Today, I lay down my burdens and choose to take up Your rest. Teach me Your ways. Help me trust Your heart. Wrap me in Your peace. I want to walk in the freedom and lightness You promised. I receive Your rest today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
