No Condemnation, But Don’t Get Comfortable In The Fall - March 30, 2025
Scripture:
"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"
— Romans 8:1 (NIV)
Devotional:
There is such peace in knowing that because of Jesus, we are no longer condemned. God doesn’t hold our past mistakes over us but His grace covers, His mercy restores. But this truth comes with a charge: don’t get comfortable in sin just because grace is available.
Romans 8:1 reminds us that we are free from condemnation when we are in Christ and choose to walk in the Spiri, —not the flesh. That means while there is grace, there is also a call to repentance. If you’ve fallen, get up. If you’ve missed the mark, ask for forgiveness. But don’t settle into the cycle. God wants more for you.
Conviction is not condemnation. It’s God lovingly pulling you closer. Don’t let shame keep you from Him. Come boldly before His throne, ask for forgiveness, and walk forward. You were never meant to stay down. His Spirit empowers you to move forward.
Reflection/Challenge:
Don’t let shame silence your worship. Take a moment today to reflect and ask God where you’ve gotten comfortable. Confess it, release it, and commit to walking in His Spirit.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your grace that lifts me when I fall. I know that You don’t condemn me, but You call me higher. Help me not to abuse grace or stay stuck in what You died to free me from. Teach me to walk in Your Spirit and leave behind the things of the flesh. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
