The Enemy Will Confuse Himself - March 29, 2025
Scripture:
“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” — Deuteronomy 28:7 (NKJV)
Devotional:
Sometimes the greatest battles in life aren’t the ones you see coming, but the ones that hit unexpectedly through people, circumstances, or even internal struggles. You may feel surrounded, attacked, or even betrayed, but God’s Word reminds us: you don’t have to fight alone. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who brought down the walls of Jericho, and who silenced lions in a den is the same God who promises to fight for you.
Deuteronomy 28:7 doesn’t just say your enemies will be defeated, it says they’ll be defeated in front of your face. That means God will make it visible. He will show you that the things designed to break you are powerless against His hand. Even when the enemy plots in secret, God exposes, confuses, and dismantles every plan.
Just like in 2 Chronicles 20, when Israel’s enemies turned on each other and destroyed themselves without a single sword lifted by God's people, the Lord can and will confuse your enemy’s camp. You don’t need to retaliate, prove yourself, or seek vengeance. Stay planted in God’s presence, keep your peace, and watch Him work on your behalf.
Challenge:
Today, resist the urge to fight back in your own strength. Instead, declare the Word of God over your situation. Write down Deuteronomy 28:7, and each time you’re tempted to stress, remind yourself that God is already dismantling the enemy’s plans.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You go before me and fight every battle on my behalf. When the enemy comes against me, remind me that I’m not alone. I trust that You are working behind the scenes, confusing every plot and dismantling every trap set for me. Strengthen my faith to wait on You and trust in Your power. I believe that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and I receive the victory You’ve already secured. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
