A New Season, A New Shift - September 1, 2025

Scripture:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” - Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Devotional:

Every new season comes with its challenges, but it also comes with fresh opportunities to witness God’s hand. September marks the ninth month, the number of birthing. What God has been growing in the hidden places of your life, He is preparing to reveal. That waiting, that pressing, that stretching, it wasn’t wasted. It was God’s way of making sure that what is birthed in this season will last.

God is calling His true people to rise, to step into alignment with His will, and to trust Him more deeply than before. He is shifting atmospheres, breaking cycles, and opening doors that no one can shut. The very things that seemed delayed are now aligning. The very prayers that felt unanswered are now unfolding.

This turning point is not just about personal blessing, it’s about Kingdom impact. God is raising up voices, testimonies, and leaders who will live set apart, who will reflect His glory even when it’s costly. If you belong to Him, you are part of that remnant. The shift isn’t just coming, it’s here.

Reflection/Challenge:

Ask yourself: Am I ready for this shift? What habits, mindsets, or distractions need to stay behind in the old season so I can step into the new? Today, commit to walking in obedience, even when it stretches you, because this is the month where God is marking His people for greater works.

Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.

Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.

Father, thank You for this new month and this new season. I declare that September will be a turning point for my life, my family, and my future. Lord, I surrender every part of me to You. I surrender my plans, my fears, and my desires. Help me to leave behind what no longer serves Your purpose and to step boldly into what You are birthing. Let this be the season of breakthrough, alignment, and undeniable favor for Your people. In Jesus’ name I pray, Thank God, Amen.
