Get Ready: Today Is The Day! - May 31, 2025

Scripture:
“This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
— Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)

Devotional:
It’s easy to treat today like just another box on the calendar. Another day of waiting, another day of questions, another day of “almost but not yet.” But God doesn’t see today as ordinary, He sees it as an opportunity to show Himself strong on your behalf.

Psalm 118:24 reminds us that this is the day the Lord has made, meaning, today is on purpose. Every sunrise is a reminder that God is still at work, still on the throne, and still writing your story.

Today might be the day your waiting ends.
Today might be the day that phone call comes.
Today might be the day you see the miracle you’ve been praying for.

But even if you don’t see the answer yet, know this:
God is still moving.
He’s lining things up.
He’s orchestrating details you can’t even see.
And He’s strengthening you in the process.

So get ready. Not because everything’s perfect — but because He is faithful. Lift your head, open your heart, and get ready to rejoice — because today is the day the Lord has made.

Reflection/Challenge:
Ask yourself today: “What would I do if I really believed that today was the day God was going to move in my life?”
Live with expectancy, not because of what you see, but because of who He is!

Prayer:
Father God In the Name of Jesus,
Thank You that today is not just another day but it’s the day You have made.
Help me to rejoice and be glad in it, even if I’m still waiting.
Give me eyes to see Your goodness, ears to hear Your voice, and a heart that expects Your best. I want to live in expectancy today. Today, I expect You to show up and show out! Today, I expect You to move on my behalf. Today, I expect YOU to come through in a mighty way for me. Today, I expect the impossible to be made possible. Today, I expect to receive Healing in my body. Today, I expect to receive Deliverance in my life.
Strengthen my faith so that I can stand ready, believing that today is the day You can change everything.
I trust You with all that I am, and I choose to praise You in advance for the breakthrough that’s on the way.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
