Equipped For Every Season - August 16, 2025

Scripture:

“God is very powerful because he is God. He has used that power to help us. He has given us everything that we need to live in a good way. We can do things that please God. This is possible because now we know him. God has chosen us to be his people because he is very great and very good.” - 2 Peter 1:3 EASY

“There is a right time for everything. Everything that we do on the earth has a proper time.” - Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ EASY‬‬

Devotional:

Through Jesus, God has given us everything we need to live for Him. Not “some things,” not “just enough to get by,” but everything. His power equips us with wisdom, endurance, patience, peace, and strength to face whatever today brings. Sometimes we think we are unprepared for life’s battles, but His Word says otherwise, we are already supplied.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that life unfolds in seasons: times to plant, times to reap, times to weep, times to laugh. We often want to skip the hard seasons, but they are part of God’s design. The comfort is this: no season is wasted, and no season lasts forever. The same God who equips us also ordains the timing.

When we try to control the season, we become restless and discouraged. But when we lean into His provision, we can rest knowing that He has already given us the tools to thrive where we are. If it is a season of waiting, He has given us patience. If it is a season of building, He has given us strength. If it is a season of letting go, He has given us peace.

Reflection/Challenge:

Are you trying to rush out of a season that God is still using to shape you? Take time today to list what season you feel you are in. Rather it’s a season of waiting, healing, building, or celebrating, ask this question: “Lord, what have You already placed in my hands for this moment?” Instead of praying for new things, thank Him for the supply He has already given.

Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
Thank You for another day. Thank You for waking me up this morning, starting me on my way, clothing me in my right mind, and allowing me to see the dawn of a brand new day.

Lord, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins and shortcomings, and I receive Your forgiveness in my heart. Create in me, O Lord, a clean heart. Purify my thoughts, and cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of You, O God.

Father, thank You for giving me everything I need through Jesus. Help me to trust that You have already equipped me for today and every season I face. Teach me to rest in Your timing instead of striving in my own strength. Order my steps, calm my heart, and let my life reflect Your goodness in every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen. In Jesus’ name I pray, Thank God, Amen.
