The Stone That Holds It All Together - May 20, 2025
Scripture:
“The builders refused to use a certain stone. They thought that it had no value. But now that stone has become the most important stone at the corner of the building.”
— Mark 12:10 (EASY)
Devotional:
It’s easy to rely on our own strength, especially when we’ve done the planning, prepared the strategy, and worked the plan.
But no matter how well-built something looks, if Christ isn’t the cornerstone, it won’t last.
Mark 12:10 reminds us that what people once considered worthless has now become the most essential.
Jesus is the stone that still holds it all together. He is the foundation, the support, and the structure that keeps your life from collapsing under pressure.
This isn’t about passivity.
This is about positioning, knowing that no amount of effort can replace the need for His presence.
Yes, build.
Yes, move.
But make sure Jesus is at the center of it.
When God instructs you to take a step, OBEY.
When He tells you to be still, don’t move until He says so.
He sees the whole building.
And He knows exactly how to hold it up.
Reflection/Challenge:
Ask yourself honestly:
“Am I leaning on Jesus or just leaning on what I know?”
Don’t build without the One who holds it all together.
Prayer:
Father God In the Name of Jesus. Thank You for this day. Thank You for this moment. Thank You for All You’ve done in my life. You are the ONE who holds my life together and everything in it. Forgive me for the times I tried to build with everything but You. You are the cornerstone. You are the strength. You are the One that keeps it all together when life feels like it’s falling apart. Help me to trust You more deeply, to follow You more closely, and to build everything in my life on the solid rock of who YOU ARE. I love you so much, and I thank You for loving me more than what I will ever know. I command this day to come into alignment with everything You’ve spoken, You’ve said, and because I’m building this life WITH YOU AT THE CENTER OF IT ALL. In Jesus name I pray, Thank God, and Amen.
